Senior Project Accountant needed for Luxury Residential Real Estate Condominium Developer in New York City

Our client, a Luxury Residential New York Real Estate Condominium developer. They are searching for a highly intelligent, motivated, and detail oriented experienced Senior Project Accountant. 

 

The Luxury Residential Senior Project Accountant must have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business is desired.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in a Corporate Accounting position in Real Estate
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Skilled time management and prioritization skills
  • Professional communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to facilitate and manage relationships
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent writing and grammar skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, Quickbooks

The Luxury Residential Senior Project Accountant will have the following roles and responsibilities to: 

  • Responsibilities include ensuring that expenditures are going through an approval process with a verification process against budget and necessity
  • Reviewing, verifying, processing, and reconciling transactions for operational expenses and purchase orders to ensure accuracy and approval
  • Coding expenses to the proper general ledger accounts
  • Maintain a professional line of communication with vendors and other internal departments
  • Review and respond to incoming e-mails, inquiries from vendors, and internal departments
  • Prepare checks and electronic payments for signing/approval on scheduled payment terms
  • Prepare analysis of monthly operational expenses, including identifying inconsistencies
  • Research, verify and resolve any discrepancies and issues
  • Request and reconcile vendor’s statement monthly
  • Process and reconcile credit cards statements, including identifying inconsistencies
  • Billing and reconciliations related to preferred vendor programs
  • Provide support during annual and other audits, as required
  • Process and pay employee expenses, identify inconsistencies
  • Research and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning vendor accounts and GL
  • Handle cash disbursements when requested
  • Provide coverage for the accounts payable manager and accounts payable department
  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer and Accounting Manager when needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

 

The company offers an excellent salary and benefits package.  This is a full-time, permanent position.  Salary $100K-$130K annually
