Immediate opening for an experienced Director of Asset Management in New York City
Our client, A Major Luxury Residential Property Developer is searching for an experienced Director of Asset Management in New York. The ideal candidate will oversee Property performance for a portfolio of development projects through comprehensive review, budget and capital approvals, including a brand new mixed-use 1,000 unit apartment complex. The director will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a large, and growing, real estate portfolio spanning multiple states.
The Qualifications of the Director of Asset Management are as follows:
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, construction management, business, or related field
- 10+ years of commercial asset management experience (preferably residential, multifamily, and mixed-use facilities); 3 years in supervisory role.
- Experience working directly for an owner (not only as a third-party property manager).
- Experience creating and managing a budget and producing monthly, quarterly, and yearly property reports and business plans.
- Experience building relationships and influencing others regarding the facility, real estate, and property management. Experience managing a multi-million-dollar portfolio of real estate properties.
- Comfortable working in an environment that values teamwork, collaboration, accountability, and clear communication.
- Experienced and visionary leader able to maximize the strength of the property management team.
- Highly organized, can self-direct, and is focused on developing themselves as well as others.
- Should be articulate and professional with a solid financial acumen, knowledgeable in property operations and leasing and technologically competent.
- Demonstrate a history of excellence at working independently, multi-tasking, prioritizing, and working effectively with others to promote a highly collaborative culture.
The Responsibilities of the Director of Asset Management are as follows:
- Responsible for supporting the firm’s growth and expansion by optimizing the performance of the company’s existing portfolio and future investments.
- Responsibilities will include overseeing maintenance, repairs, tenant relations, accounting, collections and capital improvements.
- Be able to determine the appropriate strategies to ensure investment decisions are made that maximize returns/values.
- Candidate must be meticulous about maintaining the standard operations against operating plans and budgets and reporting/interpreting results.
