Construction Staff Accountant Miami

Miami, Florida

A real estate investment, development, and debt fund firm in Miami, Florida is seeking a Construction Staff Accountant. The company manages over 150 entities. This role is responsible for maintaining financial records, supporting reporting processes, and assisting with accounting operations related to construction and development activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, prepare journal entries, and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including coding and processing payments
• Analyze account variances and assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Manage corporate credit card allocations and bill back expenses to internal entities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1 to 3 years of recent accounting experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple responsibilities
• Professional communication skills
