Our client, a pioneering Recovery Simulation software company, is seeking an energetic, self-driven enterprise software executive to penetrate the mid-market in Silicon Valley, CA.. In this role, the Sales Executive will be responsible for generating revenue and deals, establishing the company as a trusted software vendor, and facilitate long-term, value-based relationships through direct engagement with decision makers and IT teams. The software identifies and fixes problems prior to a disaster situation by operating the secondary sites automatically, on a weekly basis – so if a disaster does occur, your organization will still be able to function properly, be confident their organization will recover from any disaster scenario. Through its proprietary dashboard and reporting system, the platform quantifies the recoverability of a business.

The IT Software Sales Executive must have the following skills and experience:

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, early-stage environment that requires willingness to learn and apply new concepts and strategies quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask – strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience selling into mid-market accounts and large enterprise organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years sales experience with Disaster-Recovery and Backup (ideally VMware and/or Zerto)
  • Sales experience in server platforms, storage, and software.
  • Consistent track record of achieving goals while maintaining customer loyalty
  • Strong experience managing multi-tiered customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to penetrate and close new accounts and opportunities, customer-focused and responsive.
  • Highly developed presentation and problem-solving skills
  • Innovative and creative – examples of making things happen, changing direction, finding the right solutions at the right time for the client
  • Ability to present to various sized audiences with considerable gravitas
  • Strength in forecasting, accuracy, and timely management.


The IT Software Sales Executive will have the following duties:

  • Leverage existing C-level, IT member relationships to present the company’s solution.
  • Strategic targeting and prospecting – new pipeline
  • Identifies key business leaders and builds and maintains long-term relationships with CIO, CTO, IT members and buyers.
  • Experience selling VMware, DR, Backup.
  • Telemarketing and contacting ‘hot’ leads for new business development
  • Understand the IT market and culture
  • Field meetings only. Avoid e-meetings/online meetings.
  • Drive monthly recurring revenue by exceeding individual quota objectives
  • Consistently achieve monthly, quarterly & annual revenue goals
  • Navigate deal cycles 2-8 months in length.
  • Work with service professionals, integrators, ISPs and solutions consultants – from prospecting thru Active-billing to satisfy customer’s implementation and servicing needs
  • Develop and execute territory plan to exceed revenue and growth objectives.
  • Travel to prospects outside of Silicon Valley
  • Creating a great experience for customers during and beyond the sales cycle


Our client offers a highly competitive compensation, benefits package and company car, cell-phone and laptop.  This is a full time position paying $120K-$150K annually
